So What Are The factors That Impact Cost In A Kitchen Renovation?
According to Steve, one of the most significant factors that will impact your budget is any structural changes such as removing walls, changing floor coverings, adding windows and skylights and plumbing and electrical relocation.
Additionally, there are many fittings, fixtures, tiles, benchtops, and other materials to use in your kitchen renovation, which all significantly impact your project’s total cost, says Steve.
Kitchen renovation spending rises in 2021 to a median spend of $21,000 according to the 2021 Houzz & Home AUSTRALIA overview of Home Renovation report. Steve says a realistic range is $15,000 to $45,000, depending on the size of the project and finishes chosen.
STEVE - "Another big hitter to your budget is your white goods and appliances."
A budget oven can cost as little as $380, while a premium oven can be $2000 plus. Dishwashers range between $400 to $1400 and kitchen sinks from $200 to $1400.
